MAV should not roam the state at random. The practical model is a recurring regional schedule tied to stable host sites, community requests, service gaps and follow-up capacity.

The route cards below are examples of how service patterns can be organized; they are not active appointments or confirmed stops. When MAV becomes operational, only published calendar entries should be treated as travel information.

Route design
How a stop earns a place on the schedule.
Distance + travel burden
Where residents routinely travel long distances for related services or lack reasonable transportation.
Service gaps
Counties or communities with limited diagnostic, behavioral-health, adult support, communication-access or navigation capacity.
Demand
Community requests, referral volume, wait-list pressure, repeated failed handoffs and prior route utilization.
Host readiness
Accessible parking, safe site operations, restroom access, reliable hours, community trust and enough privacy for the planned service menu.
Connection capacity
MAV should not collect needs where there is no follow-up plan. Routes are paired with navigators, Docks, telehealth or receiving partners.
Equity check
Rural areas, adults, nonspeaking/AAC users, high-support-needs families and communities with fewer existing entry points must remain visible in route decisions.
Example service patterns
Six repeatable route types.
These describe the operating pattern, not a promise that a named community has an active MAV stop.
Same weekday, same regional hub.
A full MAV rotates through two to four stable sites on a repeat cadence. Best for follow-up, referrals, Passport updates and scheduled telehealth.
Several small stops, one travel day.
A smaller access vehicle serves libraries, public facilities or community rooms for navigation, paperwork, resource search and communication support.
After-school or family-night route.
Public information, caregiver navigation, communication tools, school-meeting preparation and referral information without turning MAV into the school district.
Access services plus scheduled clinical partner.
Navigation and sensory access are paired with a health center, clinician or telehealth service for a defined clinical menu.
Employment, accommodation and benefits in the same trip.
Coordinate with workforce infrastructure for job search, training, accessibility, documentation and benefit navigation.
High-visibility, low-barrier outreach.
Exterior education station, resource cards, quick navigation, communication tools and scheduling into a later private/full MAV session.

- backup nearby resource or next MAV date
- no one should discover a cancellation only after driving there
Where routes connect
Regional Docks + mobile routes.
Routes can be planned around regional bases, public health locations, DHS county offices, education cooperatives, providers, libraries, community centers, workforce sites and other verified host locations where access gaps are visible.
Route filters people can actually use
A live route finder should filter by region or county, setting, service type, walk-up versus appointment, accessibility, sensory environment, language access, hours and whether a licensed clinical partner is present. Until a route is operating, examples must be labeled as examples rather than presented as a live stop finder.
